A weaver manipulates a narrow double-heddle loom by sitting inside it and using their feet to operate the heddles, which raise and lower the warp threads while simultaneously using their hands to guide the shuttle carrying the weft, a coordinated process that creates the intricate patterns and colors characteristic of Ewe Kente, including figurative designs not found in other styles.
